iPhone 15: Release Date, Cost, Specifications, and More

iPhone 15 is here. As we welcome the new year, the internet is exploding with information about the upcoming iPhone series. Apple generally announces a new iPhone in September, and this year has been no exception.

Even though the iPhone 15 launch date is still nine months away. The rumor mill is already buzzing with leaks and rumors about what to expect from the coming lineup. According to the newest reports, the iPhone 15 will include an all-new design, a USB-C port, and a lot of other exciting features. If you are aiming to upgrade to the iPhone 15 this year, we have collated the most recent rumors about the iPhone 15 series’ features, variants, design, and estimated pricing.

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

Everything We Know So Far About the iPhone 15 Series (2023)

Apple has officially stated that it will eventually add a USB-C charging port in iPhones in 2023, making 2023 a biggish year for iPhones. Let’s see what other significant upgrades the iPhone series will get in 2023.

Apple experts Ming-Chi Kuo and Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman have confirmed that the number of iPhones in the upcoming range will not vary. In 2023, the business will continue to release four different iPhone versions with varying screen sizes, as it did last year.

However, Gurman speculated in his newsletter Power On that Apple could follow the newest naming trend of the Apple Watch series and change the top-end iPhone 15 from Pro Max to Ultra. The popularity of the Apple Watch Ultra is to blame for this shift. If this is correct, we may see the following iPhone variants this year:

Variants of the iPhone 15 2023

1. The iPhone 15(6.1-inch display)

2. The iPhone 15 Plus (6.7-inch display)

3. The iPhone 15 Pro (6.1-inch display)

4. The iPhone 15 Ultra (6.7-inch display)

Like last year, there will be no iPhone small model in 2023 since Apple has abandoned it entirely due to insufficient customer feedback.

Price (Expected)

Apple is looking forward to raising the pricing of the Pro models to distinguish between the vanilla and Pro lineups. Apple maintained the cost consistent across the lineup when it launched the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro series last year. However, due to negative demand for the 15 Plus and worldwide economic conditions, Apple may increase the prices of the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max (or Ultra). It indicates there could be a $300 pricing difference between the regular and Pro variants.

Here is an estimate of how much this series will cost:

1. The iPhone 15 costs $799. (Same price as the last year)

2. The iPhone 15 Plus costs $899. (Same as the last year)

3. $1,099 (up $100) for the iPhone 15 Pro

4. iPhone 15 Ultra – $1,199 (a $100 increase)

Well, reports of a price hike occurred before the release of the iPhone 14 series, but they were not confirmed. Apple has restricted the price of its base model flagship iPhones at $999 since 2017, and it may continue this practice this year. Predicting the final cost of this year’s iPhone models is premature.

When Will It Be Available?

It’s no surprise that Apple follows a pattern when it comes up to launching new iPhones. Typically, Apple’s ‘fall event’ where new iPhones are presented is held in September, with the iPhone 12 series being the lone exception (October launch) owing to the pandemic. If history is any guide, it will most likely be released around the second week of September 2023. There have been no leaks about the phone’s release date yet, but we will keep you updated if we find out anything.

What Are Your Expectations for the iPhone 15 Series?

While these rumors have come from a reliable industry source, nothing has been confirmed. Several fresh leaks and rumors are expected before the new series is officially announced in September of this year. As a result, we recommend that you take the leaks with a grain of salt. Do you believe it’s worth buying in 2023 if the above-mentioned specs are correct? Or would you go with the iPhone 15 Pro, which has a new curved design, solid-state buttons, and a telephoto camera? Whatever the case, we can expect new design and performance enhancements in this year’s iPhone series.

Thank you all for reading this out.
