Justin Roiland, the co-creator of Rick and Morty, was fired by Adult Swim after allegations of domestic violence.

After Justin Roiland was accused of domestic violence, Adult Swim decided to cut ties with him. Adult Swim released a statement announcing the termination of their partnership with Justin Roiland.

Roiland, as previously said, was charged in Orange County, California, with two felonies: one crime of domestic abuse with corporal injury and one case of false imprisonment by threat, violence, fraud, and or deceit.

He entered a not guilty plea in 2020 and showed up in court on January 13, 2023, for a preliminary hearing. No date for the trial has been determined. On April 27, he is scheduled for another pre-trial hearing.

According to insiders, Roiland's roles will be filled by new actors as the show is likely to go on without him.
